10 Fun Things To Do TODAY in L.A. for November 14, 2019

1. [11:30 a.m.] The Bai Holiday Ice Rink returns to Pershing Square from Nov. 14, 2019 to Jan. 2, 2020 featuring a 7200 square foot outdoor ice-skating experience. A wide variety of events will take place throughout the duration of the rink.

2. [sunset] Photographers get your camera out because November 14 is the perfect time to snap a photo of Light Gate during sunset hour. The centennial public art piece created for the city of Manhattan Beach, is a large glass work with varied light effects and a keyhole view facing the ocean. On November 14 and January 27 of each year, the sunset will align within the keyhole giving viewers an epic art experience that’s totally photo-worthy. FREE

3. [5 p.m.] There’s a Winter Bazaar Holiday Night Market at Yamashiro Hollywood featuring a craft fair and market to get your holiday shopping done, a dazzling light festival, live music, food, seasonal cocktails, Santa photos and much more. All ages are welcome. Free admission.

4. [8 p.m.] Pink’s is celebrating their 80th year in business with eight straight evenings of 80-cent hot dogs starting Friday, Nov. 8. The discounted dogs will be sold at 8 p.m. nightly for 80 minutes, plus each night features a different celebrity guest and proceeds go to charity.

5. [8 p.m.] Stop by The Queensberry for a cocktail class, learn the techniques used by the pros and then make your very own classic and contemporary cocktails, with a heavy emphasis on whiskeys.

6. [8 p.m.] Head down to Scum and Villainy Cantina in Hollywood for Cosmic Karaoke night. There is no cover for this event.

7. [various] Highways Performance Space & Gallery presents the inaugural Film Maudit 2.0 celebrating the work of outré filmmakers. The program will include six feature films and 40 shorts from around the globe making their Los Angeles premiere. The festival runs November 14-17.

8. [various] The annual AFI FEST returns Nov. 14-21 with an eight-day run featuring tons of film screenings, world premieres, and panels.

9. [various] Instagram favorite 29Rooms returns with a new experience dubbed the “Expand Your Reality” tour. The third iteration will take place at the Beverly Venue by HD Buttercup from November 8-17.

10. [various] Restaurant Fest is back at Eataly L.A. November 1-17. Located inside the gorgeous Century City Westfield Mall, the event extends to all three restaurants housed at the Eataly L.A. complex. Diners get to choose two-courses from a set prix-fixe menu priced at $18 or $28 plus $25 bottles of vino.
