A preliminary magnitude-3.9 earthquake struck 12 miles south of San Pedro off the coast of Southern California Tuesday around according to the USGS.
The quake struck at approximately 3:26pm and was epic-centered 2 miles deep in the Pacific Ocean.
According to comments on the Los Angeles subreddit, residents felt the quake as far away as Santa Monica, Culver City, and Silver Lake.
