This week includes free nitro ice cream at Creamistrys latest grand opening, a free doner meal courtesy of Spireworks and LOTS more.

Creamistry Koreatown will celebrate its grand opening by giving away a single scoop of ice cream this Thursday, Nov. 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. The first 200 guests will also receive a t-shirt.

Golden Road is mad for Micheladas this Thursday Nov. 17. when Fernando Lopez of Guelaguetza launches his new beer-cocktail mix with a full on beach themed party at the brewery! There will be a build-your-own Michelada bar, $5 Micheladas all night, a DJ, food specials, and lots of raffle prizes. The party is free to attend.

SpireWorks is set to open in Westwood Village on Wednesday, Nov. 16. To celebrate, the American Donor eatery will be giving away free donor sandwiches, SpireCakes and a beverage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. AND 6 to 9 p.m. That’s a big free meal day!

On Saturday, Nov. 19 The Rare Experience beer festival comes to Stout Burgers & Beers in Studio City. Sample from over 20 breweries likes Deschutes, Logsdon, Allagash, Modern Times, Boulevard, and Green Flash. Some are even serving up rare and unique one-off creations.

Cake Monkey will be celebrating their one year anniversary at their Beverly Blvd location this weekend, Nov. 18 through 20. Guests can head in for some free samples and golden tickets will be wrapped inside assorted cakewiches containing prizes Willy Wonka Style. Prizes include a free birthday cake, gift certificates and even free cakewiches for a year!

Santa Monica scores a Sicilian spot named O+O Sicilian Kitchen & Bar courtesy of Chef Georgi Yaneff. Opening Friday, Nov. 18, the restaurant will focus on modern Sicilian cuisine with a California touch, i.e. serving lighter versions of Italian dishes while using local ingredients 😉

Beginning Nov. 16 Same Same will roll out “Champagne Wishes and Khao Soi Dreams” every Wednesday night.

Must hit up place of the week goes to…

Taiwanese street food spot Lao Tao located in the Far East Plaza in Chinatown will introduce two new baos to their menu this Friday, Nov. 18. A savory bao (shown below) is stuffed with braised beef tongue, pickled greens and cilantro. For dessert the sweet bao is made up of fried dough and a scoop of ube ice cream, flan and cream.

Finally, just a quick snapshot of the best thing we’ve eaten in the past week…

The Rub A Belly bowl at Lao Tao. Braised pork belly with seasoned rice is served with pickled daikon, sweet corn, cucumbers and a tea egg.
