Free Krispy Kreme on Halloween & other Tasty Tuesday News Bites

This week Los Angeles is on a roll with freebies across the city!

Start on Halloween, when Krispy Kreme is offering free donuts to all costumed guests.  Also of note, now till Saturday the Café Bustelo mobile truck rolls into town giving away coffee drinks at multiple locations throughout L.A.

The weekend will bring a holiday cocktail event at OUE Skyspace, the Pizza & Beer Fest, Lagunitas Beer Circus, Yoga + Brew at Brewyard Beer Co. as well as the grand opening of Eataly L.A.

Free Krispy Kreme on Halloween!

Wear your Halloween costume and head to a participating Krispy Kreme location to score a free doughnut of your choice on October 31. Donuts redeemable while supplies last, one doughnut per customer and no purchase is necessary. The promotion excludes grocery and convenience stores.

Café Bustelo Mobile Truck Brings FREE Latin Coffee to L.A.

Café Bustelo is bringing free coffee and espresso-style drinks to L.A. now through November 4. Simply stop by one of the various mobile truck locations to grab an iced or hot coffee, cortadito, cafecito or café con leche free of charge. Check out the entire schedule of locations here.

Take Your Kids to SpireWorks on Halloween for a Free Meal

SpireWorks will celebrate Halloween by giving away a free kids bowl of their tasty doner creation to all kids 12 and under who come in costume and accompanied by an adult.

Dodger Fans Get Free Fries at Umami Burger

In celebration of the Dodgers making it to the World Series, Umami Burger will give away thin fries with a purchase of any burger to anyone wearing Dodger gear on game days. Valid at the following locations: Arts District, Broadway, Hollywood, Los Feliz, Pasadena, Santa Monica, The Grove, and Thousand Oaks. Excludes LAX, Studio City and Burbank.

Turducken is BACK!

Dog Haus, is launching their infamous holiday mashup, the Turducken this Wednesday November 1. Created by Dog Haus’ Würstmacher Adam Gertler, the seasonal creation will feature a sausage made of turkey, duck and chicken paired with fresh herbs, sweet potato and cranberry, topped with sweet potato fries, gravy, cranberry slaw and crispy onions, all served on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls. Grab yours from November 1 to December 31!

Food Events for this Week in L.A.

Tuesday October 31st, 2017

Mr. C Beverly Hills is extending their popular Poolside Cinema series into fall. Every Tuesday evening, from October 10 to November 21, you can visit the gorgeous yacht-inspired pool deck at the Italian-inspired hotel, where you’ll ensconce yourself in a lounge chair for a film and casual-yet-elevated food under the stars. The series continues with the 1984 spooky comedy, Ghostbusters.

Wednesday November 1st, 2017

Everson Royce Bar located in DTLA offers a Wine Wednesday special every week where $25 gets you a flight of three wines and an ever changing array of entrees created by chef Matt Molina.

Give back on Thanksgiving by volunteering for Union Station’s Dinner in the Park. Hundreds of volunteers will gather to serve meals to those in need of a warm tasty holiday plate. Registration will open this Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Culinary Fight Club L.A. Edition comes to Mi Cielo Rooftop Lounge in Downey for the ultimate seafood showdown. Marvel at the many ways seafood can be cooked when chefs are given 45 seconds to sprint to their pantries and 60 minutes to cook up the most “S.E.A. worthy” final plate to be voted by the public. Early bird tickets are selling for $30 right now. Tickets include one hour of beer and nosh, plus one Taster’s Choice ballot.

First Thursdays at Mixed Company bar welcomes Vermouth by David Rosoff a night of exploration of modern vermouth. Sommelier David Rosoff will take guests on a journey of tasting red and white vermouth. Tickets cost $25 and includes vermouth samples, tastings of four cocktails by Black Cat bar manager Benjamin Schwartz, plus a bevy of Pinxtos & Banderillas by Mixed Company chef Trevor Rocco.

Friday November 3rd, 2017

Eataly L.A. is finally opening its doors this Friday at 6 p.m. in the newly revamped Westfield Century City. The 60,000-plus square feet marketplace will house thousands of Italian products, a cooking school and multiple dining spots serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Saturday November 4th, 2017

Enjoy a circus-style beer and circus when the Lagunitas Beer Circus takes over the Pomona Fairplex.  Get your hands on newly released beers, enjoy live music, sexy burlesque dancers, stunning aerialists and more during this unique event. Tickets cost $40 per person. Check for $20 tickets on Goldstar while supplies last.

The Pizza & Beer Festival comes to L.A. Center Studios in Downtown L.A. this Saturday with access to unlimited pizza tastings from some of the top restaurant vendors and trucks. On top of that, wash it down with unlimited craft beer tastings from local and regional breweries. There will also be music for dancing, boutique art vendors to browse, games to play, and hand-rolled cigars to smoke.

OUE Skyspace LA is hosting a “Holiday Spirits” event where guests will learn how to create holiday cocktails, listen to holiday tunes and enjoy a ride on the amazing Skyslide! Tickets are $35, or $60 for two people. Your ticket will also get you take-home recipe cards, admission to all four levels of OUE Skyspace LA, complimentary food and drinks, and more.

Feastown at Eastown, a new, bimonthly popup night marketplace featuring food vendors and live music, debuted in Hollywood October and now returns for two Saturdays in November with a Thanksgiving-theme. There is no cover to attend. Part of the proceeds from food purchases will go to help locals in need.

Greenbar Distillery is hosting a cocktail class focused on making tasty libations with fresh produce in their Downtown LA space. Tickets are $40 per person.

Sunday November 5th, 2017

Take an hour-long yoga class at Brewyard Beer Co. O n the first Sunday of each month the Glendale Brewery hosts Yoga+Brew led by Yoga with Joel from noon to 1 p.m. All levels are welcome, class cost $10 and your first pint is free.

Belcampo in Santa Monica hosts a weekly Sunday Supper dinner series offering a 3-course meal incorporating Belcampo’s sustainable and high-quality meats for just $35 per person.
