The Annual Queer Vegan Night MarketM FA > This Sunday, The Plant Base LA and Vegan From Mars are co-hosting the annual Queer Vegan Night Market at Three Weavers Brewing in Inglewood. SLS Takeover in Santa MonicaM FA > This Friday, Street League Skateboarding takes over the Santa Monica Pier with a skating and street food mashup featuring myriad local foodie hotspots, including Villa’s Tacos, Heavy Handed, 10/10 Burgers, Prince Street Pizza, Miya Miya, Uncle Paulie’s, 27 Club Coffee, and Tacos 1986. Vendors will offer bites for purchase as skaters compete live on a custom-built course right on the pier. The event is free to attend, but preferred paid seating is also available. L.A. Fleet WeekFA > This year’s L.A. Fleet Week celebrates our nation’s sea services with a week of special performances and forums, an expo on the waterfront in San Pedro that includes live entertainment, ship tours, aerial demos, and more. Zombie Joe’s 20th Anniversary Shows -> Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group is celebrating two terrifying decades of productions with a special edition of their classic sitdown show, accompanied by an all-new maze. Long Beach Art Museum AfterDarkTP > This Friday, LBMA’s annual AfterDark event returns to mark the opening of the museum’s new exhibition, The Art of Food: From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. The Art of Food features over 100 works from a range of post-war and contemporary artists, including Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney, Alison Saar, Lorna Simpson, Enrique Chagoya, Rachel Whiteread, and Jenny Holzer, among others. 2025 WeHo Pride Arts FestivalFA > The City of West Hollywood is kicking off their 2025 Pride programming with a jam-packed weekend of arts and culture at the LA LGBTQ Center on 1125 North McCadden Place. The WeHo Pride Arts Festival will feature 20 individual events hosted from this Friday to Sunday, including an immersive cabaret, custom poems from Pride Poets, a live reading of Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj’s Sweet Lorraine, model drawing, a writers workshop, and more. Latin Sounds at LACMATP FA > The Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s sizzling series of Saturday evening music is back at Hancock Park (adjacent to the museum campus) starting this weekend. Latin Sounds offers world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles. Music to Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at Grand Central MarketM FA > In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, Grand Central Market and dublab team-up for a special evening of DJ sets and live music this Saturday. Cinespia -> Renowned outdoor movie purveyor Cinespia returns for their 2025 season this weekend with Saturday and Sunday screenings with screenings at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Topanga Days – > This Saturday through Monday, the annual fundraiser festival for the Topanga Community Center returns over Memorial Day weekend for three days of games, food and live music, capped by a Memorial Day parade. Concerts in the Dome TP > On Sunday, Mount Wilson Observatory kicks its 2025 season of concerts hosted inside the historic 100-inch telescope dome, where the acoustics are said to be some of the finest in the world. MAINopoly -> Board game meets food fest at the 10th annual MAINopoly, taking place on Main Street in Santa Monica this Sunday. Advance GA tickets start at $34.06 per person, which get you an allotment of credits (MAINopoloy dollars) you use to pick up bites at restaurants up and down the block. Expect dishes like Cacio e Pepe Gem Salad, Cast Iron Eggplant Parm Bites, and pizzas ranging from the award-winning Champion Cheese to a Crab del Mar pie.
