Every week in Los Angeles there are tons of great things to do (even before the weekend gets started) that we think you ought to have on your radar. With that in mind, we put together a list every Monday morning to keep you in the know about what’s happening in the city you love (or maybe just like).

Monday July 24th, 2017

1. The guys behind Delicious Vinyl (Mile and Rick Ross) has turned their pizza joint on West Adams Delicious Pizza into a cultural hub with a roster of events worth driving to. Tuesday July 25th, 2017

6. Hollywood and Highland will be taken over by Summer Jazz Nights every Tuesday till August 8th. While the show is free, you can secure guaranteed seating, wine, beer and a selection of cheese for a donation of just $14. It’s all for a good cause as 100% of the proceeds go to Project Angel Food. This week Pete Escovedo Latin Jazz Orchestra will perform.

7. The folks at Rooftop Cinema Club are back with a screening of The Graduate at LEVEL in Downtown Los Angeles.

8. The Moonlight Movies on the Beach series continues with a screening of The Little Mermaid at Granada Beach this Tuesday. FREE

9. E.P. & L.P. presents ‘Melrose Rooftop Cinema’ in West Hollywood featuring sweeping city views, modern Asian cuisine and an outdoor movie experience every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening through August 30. The series continues this week with GETOUT.

10. Spend an evening poolside and beneath the stars enjoying dinner, cocktails and a classic film as Mr. C’s Poolside Cinema returns with a screening of Secret Life of Pets.

Wednesday July 26th, 2017

11. The Yamashiro Farmers Market returns with its signature nighttime market perched high atop the Hollywood hill. Yamashiro has one of the best views in Los Angeles and each Wednesday evening they host food trucks, farm fresh produce booths, wine, fresh baked goods, flowers and more.

12. The Slurring Bee makes its way to The Virgil this Wednesday for a bar spelling bee where participants pay $5 to compete, take a first Slurring Bee Shot and spell. From there on it keeps going until a queen or king bee is crowned. Winner receives half the pot, bee-themed prizes and their picture immortalized on The Slurring Bees Wall of Fame, plus automatic placement in the Tournament of Champions!

Thursday July 27th, 2017

16. Quote-Along LABYRINTH comes to the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in DTLA for the ultimate interactive celebration of the iconic film. Attendees are encouraged to dress up, sing, quote, and dance. 17. It’s Music Video Night at the West Adams location of Delicious Pizza. This week the night will be hosted by Tamra Davis, the director behind music videos for Depeche Mode, Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys and Delicious Vinyl music videos, including Tone Loc’s “Wild Thing” and Young MC’s “Bust a Move.” In addition to screenings, Davis will share some of the tales behind the making of her music videos. 18. The 2017 season of the Skirball’s free Sunset Concert Series, inspired by the Skirball’s current high-profile exhibition Paul Simon: Words & Music, is a showcase for up-and-coming talents and established artists from Los Angeles and around the globe. Kicking off the series is American Tune Featuring Sean Watkins & Friends: A Singer-Songwriter Celebration of Paul Simon. FREE

20. The Wiltern Theater is hosting “Noche de Salsa,” an evening of sizzling salsa dance for both beginning and experienced dancers. 21. KCRW’s 2017 edition of Summer Nights is a free all ages outdoor music series happening throughout the summer. This Thursday they’ll have two mega shows, one at the Hammer Museum with Amber Mark and Maria Del Pilar and KCRW DJ Liza Richardson and the other at the Santa Monica Pier with Miami Horror, Cleopold and Hosted by KCRW DJ Dan Wilcox. FREE

22. The Moonlight Movies on the Beach series continues with a screening of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Alamitos Beach this Thursday. FREE

23. There is a book release party for Crystals, the debut book in the publication series, “The New New Age: Exploring Spirit in the Modern World,”at Silver Lake’s Dream Collective. To celebrate the evening will consist of books, crystals, and mysticism. 28. The Levitt Pavilion in McArthur Park continue their annual free concert series this week with Thee Commons on Thursday. FREE

Friday July 28th, 2017

30. 39. Shakespeare By The Sea returns with free performances for the summer. This Friday they’ll be performing Macbeth at Wilson Park in Torrance. While admission is free encourage donations to help support the play. FREE

40. Eco friendly hot yoga studio Modo Yoga hosts donation based Karma Classes every Friday at their La Brea and Echo Park locations.

41. Head over to California Market Center, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles’ Garment District, for a public sample sale  to score fantastic bargains on current styles for women, men and kids. Happening on the last Friday of every month.

42. City of San Gabriel’s annual Summer Night concerts & movies returns this week with Latin Rock band LA Misfits at Vincent Lugo Park. FREE

43. Summer Movie Fest at Cal State Northridge is a free weekly movie night taking place at dusk on CSUN’s Oviatt Library Lawn. The series continues with Sing. FREE

44. Greenbar Distillery is hosting cocktail classes in Downtown LA this Friday with tequila and gin.

45. Old Pasadena Summer Cinema is back for 2017 with free movie screenings from July 1-29 at a variety of indoor and outdoor locations throughout the Old Town area. The series continues with Cairo Time (2009) at Distant Lands and School of Rock (2003) at One Colorado. FREE

46. Grand Performances presents free musical performances in DTLA. This week the series continues with La LineaFREE

47. Catch a flick on the rooftop of the Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Los Angeles during Summer Supper + Show Series presented by WP24 by Wolfgang Puck. The series continues with a screening of Dirty Dancing on July 28-29.
