Since time is precious in this fast paced city, we decided to curate a list of things to do in Los Angeles every week end that’ll help you decide how you want to spend your limited supply of attention (not to mention dollars!).

Friday June 9th, 2017

4. Ever wish you were in a Sherlock Holmes story? Will now is your chance! Get immersed in a production full of mystery and intrigue thanks to Unbound Productions where the audience follows the actors throughout a creepy Santa Anita Train Depot. 5. It’s LA Pride Week!  from June 5 to 11 celebrate the LGBTQ community through themed parties, a special Dodgers night, worthy marches and then let loose at the LA Pride Festival happening this weekend.

6. The Los Angeles Design Festival (LADF) comes to Downtown L.A. June 8 through June 11 for the ultimate celebration of this city’s rich design culture.

7. The Groundlings: The Completely Different Late Show is a hilarious improv show by the cast of the Groundlings’ Main Company. Audience shout suggestions throughout the night for improvisational scenes performed by some of the best in the business. 8. The Natural History Museum’s First Fridays returns (on the second Friday of June) for the final event of 2017. First Fridays is an after hour series at the museum that features special music performances and themed panel discussions. This week focuses on: “LA History on Your Plate”

9. 11th annual Calabasas Malibu Food & Wine Fest is two days (June 9 and 10) of wining and dining on some of the best culinary establishments and wineries of Malibu and Calabasasa. 10. Constitution Happy Hour at AMMO at The Hammer continues this Friday with a focus on the question “Can our voting rights be salvaged?”

13. The 39th Annual Playboy Jazz Festival returns to the Hollywood Bowl (June 10-11) with an impressive line up of guests including Comm on, Miles Mosely & the West Coast Get Down, Corinne Bailey Rae and much more.

15. The Los Angeles Conservancy presents Last Remaining Seats featuring classic film screenings in Downtown Los Angeles’ vintage movie palaces. 19. Eat|See|Hear brings a screening of Casablanca at North Hollywood Recreation Center and Purple Rain at Poinsettia Rec Park West Hollywood.

20. Angelenos can participate in World Oceans Day this weekend at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in San Pedro. The event will feature family-oriented activities, including arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, animal stories, a guided beach walk, a close-up look at baby animals and more. FREE

21. The 2017 L.A. Pride Festival in West Hollywood Park (June 10-11) is two fun filled days of live music, performances, special gusts, parade floats, activities, dancing and more.

22. LA Food Fest heads to the LA Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, for a summertime tasting event featuring 100+ food vendors, live entertainment and more. Plan to wash down the unlimited servings with six craft cocktail bars, five craft beer gardens, tequila tastings and an iced coffee lounge.

27. Head to the Santa Monica Pier for the 7th annual Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival. Watch as top athletes compete or compete in the races yourself! 29. Cliftons Living History Tour is a 45-minute guided excursion led by Kahlil Nelson. Take a peek into DTLA history and the fascinating rooms at the iconic food hall. Although tour reservations are free, donations are strongly encouraged.

30. The 42nd Annual Big Irish Fair & Music Fest returns to Long Beach this weekend with Irish dancers, live music, bagpipe demos, a shepherding show, cultural reenactments, a parade, and more!

Sunday June 11th, 2017

31. Taste of Eagle Rock returns for the third year on Sunday with a chance to explore the latest, greatest and tried-and-true faves from the beloved neighborhood. Some “tastes” include Dave’s Chillin n Grillin, The Capri, Little Beast, Taco Spot, and newer establishments like Turning Fire, Eagle Rock Kitchen, Spireworks, Eagle Rock Public House, Red Herring and Eagle Rock Juice.

32. Come to Downtown’s Grand Park for the first of four Sunday Sessions at Grand Park featuring free music in tribute to L.A.’s house music scene. The June 11 lineup features Aaron Paar, Tony Watson, Scott K, and Vikter Duplaix. FREE

33. Los Angeles’ Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry returns on Sunday with an impressive roster of top L.A. chefs, restaurateurs and mixologists for a huge food festival benefiting No Kid Hungry, a non-profit aiming to end childhood hunger. Participating restaurants include Akasha, AR Cucina, DogHaus, Salt & Straw, Estrella, Mama Lion and Wexler’s Deli.

34. CicLAvia returns this Sunday! Bike, run, walk or skate during the newest closed-streets event taking place from Glendale to Atwater Village. FREE

35. Tiny Porch Concerts, a series of free concerts in unique venues, comes to the amphitheater at the Peter Strauss Ranch in Agoura Hills on Sunday with a show from Kuinka. FREE

36. Top comedians like Patton Oswalt, Cameron Esposito and Bobcat Goldthwait ban together for a night of entertainment benefiting the Downtown Women’s Center. Guests will also enjoy DJ sets from Georgia O’Kief and Disc Jock Jesspeleta, plus a clothing for sale from 323. Tickets cost $35!
