So There’s a Wine Rave in Chinatown This Friday

Wine + rave equals…. awesome?

Organizers Maxwell Leer and Adam Vourvoulis, who have creating these pop-up wine rave events since 2011, have kind of flipped the script on what it means to have a ‘wine party’.

According to a recent interview with the L.A. Times, here’s the essence of their mission:

“Wine rave is a state of mind. Can you free yourself from color: its sensations as pleasure; as life. Stop swirling. Derobe. Become bioluminescent. Feel a stranger. Listen. Laugh and have fun. Wine rave.”

Ok, well that clears things up.

Maybe not really.

But here are some things you should expect, if you choose to attend, via Eater LA:

– Swirling glowsticks and dance music (duh).

– A serious selection of wine shots and glowing wine infused cocktails.

– An overall low level of pretentiousness.

The rave starts at 10pm this Friday April 10 at the Golden Dragon in Chinatown, 960 N Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Cash only bar!
