L.A.’s “ALONE Experience” Sounds Like The Most Intense Scary Attraction You’ll Find This October

October 2, 2014 by Brian Champlin

Somewhere at a secret location in DTLA a gang of evil geniuses is plotting to terrify angelenos one solitary soul at a time. They call it the ALONE Experience and if getting freaked-the-hell-out is your idea of a pleasant Saturday night, then this might just be right up your alley.

From the organizers:

“ALONE is a site-specific, immersive and artistic exploration of fear, loneliness and self preservation. It’s a thirty minute walkthrough experience which you may only enter alone, and where you become a willing victim to your own inner demons. Borrowing the structure of a typical haunted house, but ditching the blood, guts and psychotic clowns with chainsaws, ALONE explores the deepest regions of the bizarre, and places you as a participant in your own nightmare.”

So basically, the hipster version of a haunted house. And absolutely terrifying. So terrifying and immersive in fact (like they’ll chase you and grab you) that you have to sign a waiver before you can enter enter the labyrinth.

Check out the trailer for the 2013 version of the event here below, and if managed not to soil yourself at the prospect of going through the experience, ticket information starts after the jump.

Unfortunately the ALONE experience doesn’t necessarily come on the cheap.  Tickets were priced at $45 (plus a small service fee) when I clicked.

ALONE is set to run from Oct. 17th to Nov. 1st, at a undisclosed location somewhere near downtown Los Angeles.

Check out the official website for all the details on tickets, plus a question-and-answer page on everything you need to know about planning your experience.
