“I wanted to start something that has never been done. Everyone opens up a sandwich and pizza shop. People have come up with restaurants for crepes, grilled cheese, but no one has ever done the customize-your-own-peanut-butter-sandwich,” Spread PB co-owner Dustin Alpert told The Daily News.

According to the restaurant’s website here’s what the experience will be like:

“You’ll be able to design the sandwich of your dreams!  This includes picking from a vast collection of delicious breads, nut butters, and toppings.  Or pick from one of SpreadPB’s unique creations.  Other irresistibly delicious offerings will also be available like oatmeal and smoothies.”

Based on pricing on the website, most sandwiches offered cost in the $6-$7 range.

The restaurant’s very first yelp review (from earlier today) was 4 stars, but also noted that they have not yet activated their panini grill (something to keep in mind if you’re heading down there today!).

If you’d like to head down and check it out, Spread PB is located at 12215 Ventura Blvd Ste 104 in Studio City, CA 91604. Open daily from 7am to 9pm.
