1. Old Pasadena Summer Cinema (starting July 1)
Old Pasadena Summer Cinema will offer 20 free movie screenings from July 1-29 at a variety of indoor and outdoor locations throughout the Old Town area, including a set of four travel-related films to screen at Distant Lands Bookstore, nine outdoor screenings at the courtyard of One Colorado, and three special theme nights at Central Park. -> More information
2. KCRW’s Summer Nights (all July)
KCRW’s Summer Nights free event series returned for 2017 in June, but July is when things kick into high gear. Among the dates slated for events Los Angeles are Chinatown Summer Nights on July 1, Paul Oakenfold + Mondo Cozmo Annenberg Space for Photography on July 22, and Miami Horror + Cleopold at the Santa Monica Pier on July 27. -> More information
3. Anime Expo
This marquee four-day expo will feature panels, Q&A’s, workshops, plus video rooms and autograph stations with some of the best manga creators and voice actors in the industry. -> More information
4. 4th of July in Los Angeles (July 4)
