We looked ahead on our calendar to focus in on some of the best events happening in July around Los Angeles that you should probably have on your radar. After all, better to get your tickets now than wait till the last minute and find out your favorite event is sold out.
July 2017 event highlights include Old Pasadena Summer Cinema, Summer Nights in the Garden at NHM, the 2017 Lotus Festival, FYF Fest, the Long Beach Crawfish Festival, and much more.

1. Old Pasadena Summer Cinema (starting July 1)
Old Pasadena Summer Cinema will offer 20 free movie screenings from July 1-29 at a variety of indoor and outdoor locations throughout the Old Town area, including a set of four travel-related films to screen at Distant Lands Bookstore, nine outdoor screenings at the courtyard of One Colorado, and three special theme nights at Central Park. -> More information
2. KCRW’s Summer Nights (all July)
KCRW’s Summer Nights free event series returned for 2017 in June, but July is when things kick into high gear. Among the dates slated for events Los Angeles are Chinatown Summer Nights on July 1, Paul Oakenfold + Mondo Cozmo Annenberg Space for Photography on July 22, and Miami Horror + Cleopold at the Santa Monica Pier on July 27. -> More information
3. Anime Expo
This marquee four-day expo will feature panels, Q&A’s, workshops, plus video rooms and autograph stations with some of the best manga creators and voice actors in the industry. -> More information
4. 4th of July in Los Angeles (July 4)

6. Hollywood & Highland Presents Summer Jazz Nights (starting July 11)
Free Summer Jazz Nights return to Hollywood and Highland on Tuesdays starting July 11. For $14, get VIP seating, wine, beer & cheese. See acts like legendary jazz percussionist Pete Escovedo and Bria Skonberg. Proceeds of the VIP sales go to Project Angel Food.-> More information

8. DT Stage Concert Series at Pershing Square (starts July 15)
On Saturdays starting July 15 the DT Stage Concert Series opens at Pershing Square with free weekly shows featuring the likes of The Wallflowers, the B-52s, and Toad the Wet Sprocket. -> More information
9. Show-Your-Spirit-Animal Quiet Clubbing Party at FIGat7th in DTLA (July 14)

10. The Los Angeles Soul Music Festival at Exposition Park (July 14-16)

13. Explore Vintage Trains at Union Station’s Summer Train Fest (July 15)
